2024 Tag List

Below you’ll find all the tags for relationships, universes, etc. offered this year, which we’re sure will prove useful in your search for that One True Auction (or several!). Make sure to check out the special auction categories we’re spotlighting and our Search Help page for guidance on using the search and filtering tools as well. To see the full list of creators participating this year, click here.

Note: Characters are listed by their full names they’re commonly known by, but there are some exceptions to this:

  • characters who don’t have a last name (e.g., T’Challa)
  • characters who are called different names in different universes (e.g., Patricia Walker (Trish in the MCU and Patsy in all other universes))
  • characters whose real names are unknown (e.g., Bullseye)
  • characters who are better known by one name or superhero alias than their full name (e.g., Logan, Rogue, Mystique)

Full names will be written with the given name coming first and surname coming last (e.g., Bruce Banner) unless their surname is traditionally written first (e.g., Xu Xialing).

Note: Relationships are written in alphabetical order by the last name of the characters in the ship (e.g., Scott Lang/Hope van Dyne, not Hope van Dyne/Scott Lang), and then the relationship itself is listed alphabetically by the first letter (e.g., Scott Lang/Hope van Dyne is under “S”). To find the ship tag for more exact searches, click on the link to see the tag associated with a specific ship (e.g, clicking on “Steve Rogers/Tony Stark” will show that the tag for that ship is “ship: stony” at the end of the URL).

Fanwork Types

Universes

These tags are limited to auctions that expressly state a universe. For example, if you click “616” on this list, you’ll only get auctions that have “616” as a universe for one of the relationships offered; auctions that offer “Any Universe” are not included in the results. However, if you type in the universe you want (e.g., 616) in the search bar on our search help page or to the right of this page, the results will include both the universe you specified and “any universe” auctions.

Please note that for X-Men movies, the appropriate universe is “X-Men movieverse” as the live action characters have not been officially introduced to the MCU yet and Deadpool movies are now categorized under both the X-Men movieverse and MCU.

Fandoms

Fandom tags are only used for auctions that offer any gen (platonic), any ships (romantic), or any gen and ships within a fandom. Specific characters and relationships don’t have fandom tags and therefore will not appear in the results when you click on the fandom links in this section. For example:

  • auctions offering only a specific character or relationship (e.g. Peggy Carter-centric or Peggy Carter/Daniel Sousa): will NOT show up when you click on the Agent Carter fandom link
  • auctions offering only a fandom “any” option (e.g., Agent Carter fandom any gen, Agent Carter fandom any ships, or Agent Carter fandom any gen and ships): WILL show up when you click on the Agent Carter fandom link
  • auctions offering a specific character/relationship and a fandom “any” option (e.g., Peggy Carter & Daniel Sousa and Agent Carter fandom any gen): WILL show up when you click on the Agent Carter fandom link

This is a great option to find creators who are open to offering works or services for a wide variety of characters and platonic and/or romantic relationships. If you can’t find the character or relationship you’re looking for, ask these creators! They may be willing to offer their auction for that character or relationship.

Please note that the links below encompass all the “any” options (“any gen,” “any ships,” and “any gen and ships”). If you want to look for a specific “any” option, type what you’re looking for (e.g., Agent Carter fandom any gen) in the search bar on our search help page or to the right of this page.

Romantic Relationships

These tags are limited to auctions that expressly state a romantic relationship. For example, if you click “Kate Bishop/America Chavez” on this list, you’ll only get auctions that have “Kate Bishop/America Chavez” as one of the relationships offered; auctions that offer any romantic relationship for a particular character (e.g., Kate Bishop/Any or America Chavez/Any) are not included in the results.

However, if you type in the romantic relationship you want in the search bar on our search help page or to the right of this page, the results will include all of the following auctions:

  • the relationship you specified (e.g., Kate Bishop/America Chavez)
  • “any romantic relationships” for all the characters in that relationship (e.g., Kate Bishop/Any and America Chavez/Any)
  • “any ships” and “any gen and ships” options for fandoms that the characters are in together (e.g., Young Avengers fandom)

If you can’t find the romantic relationship you’re looking for on this list, we suggest searching for “/Any” for any/all of the characters in that ship (e.g., Kate Bishop/Any and/or America Chavez/Any). You can also refer to the Fandoms section. We recommend asking the creators who show up in the results if they’re up for that ship first before bidding.

Platonic Relationships

These tags are limited to auctions that expressly state a platonic relationship. For example, if you click “Bruce Banner & Tony Stark” on this list, you’ll only get auctions that have “Bruce Banner & Tony Stark” as one of the relationships offered; auctions that offer any platonic relationship for a particular character (e.g., Bruce Banner-centric or Tony Stark-centric) are not included in the results.

However, if you type in the platonic relationship you want in the search bar on our search help page or to the right of this page, the results will include all of the following auctions:

  • the relationship you specified (e.g., Bruce Banner & Tony Stark)
  • “any platonic relationships” for all the characters in that relationship (e.g., Bruce Banner-centric and Tony Stark-centric)
  • “any gen” and “any gen and ships” options for fandoms that the characters are in together (e.g., Avengers fandom)

If you can’t find the platonic relationship you’re looking for on this list, we suggest looking at the Character-centric and/or Fandoms sections and asking the creators who show up in the results if they’re up for that platonic relationship.

Character-centric

“Character-centric” covers auctions that focus on that one character only as well as auctions that offer any platonic relationship for that character (meaning someone who is up for Carol Danvers in a platonic relationship with any other character(s) will choose “Carol Danvers-centric”). As this is the case, we recommend reading the auction work description carefully. Typically, the creator will indicate which one they’re offering, but you should ask them if it’s unclear.

These tags are limited to auctions that expressly state “Character Name-centric” as one of their options. For example, if you click “Carol Danvers-centric” on this list, you’ll only get auctions that have “Carol Danvers-centric” as one of the relationships offered. Auctions that offer a specific platonic relationship (e.g., Carol Danvers & Goose & Maria Rambeau & Monica Rambeau) are not included in the results and you should refer to the Platonic Relationships section above instead if you’re looking for a specific one.

If you want a fanwork/service for one character only and they’re not on this list, try asking people offering “fandom any gen” and “fandom any gen and ships” (more info in the Fandoms section). This also applies to specific platonic relationships that aren’t covered by the “character-centric” list below or the Platonic Relationships section above.

Optional Additional Tags

Please note that only some creators chose to use these tags and they were limited to a maximum of five tags to add to their auction offerings. Clicking a tag below will only show you creators who chose to have these additional tags associated with their auction; it won’t include creators who mentioned those keywords in their “Likes” or “Work Description” sections. If you want to see everyone, type the tag you want (e.g., soulmates) in our search bar. You can also search for other keywords (see the search help page for more info).
