- Work Description:
- I am offering to fact-check under 5k words of writing for any character, any ship, any fandom, and any tags (including dead dove tags), EXCEPT what's in my DNWs. To be specific, the fact-checking will be fact-checking the IRL accuracy/feasibility of elements of your fic (eg. wounds, medical procedures, fight scenes, and many more), NOT fact-checking that the content of your fic lines up with the Marvel universe/timeline you're writing for. Since I'm doing fact-checking, the listed relationships are just the ones I'm more familiar with -- whether or not your story falls under those categories won't have an impact on my ability to fact check your work
Note that the 5k words doesn't have to refer to the full length of your fic; I highly suggest you extract the scenes you want me to fact check and compile them, rather than having me read the entire fic. So you could have a fic that's 30k words long, but only have 5k words that need to be fact checked.
For some things that I might be especially useful for, I:
- am a life science major
- have a black belt in aikido (japanese martial art) which includes weapon training
- have done a diploma in fashion and product design
- kayaked regularly for 5 years
I would be especially excited to fact-check anything related to biology or chemistry and their vaguely related scientific fields. If you have something that you think I might be able to fact check, but you're not super sure about, come talk to me on tumblr.
I will provide explanations and full reference lists for everything I fact check, you can talk to me on tumblr if you're particular about how this is presented (eg. bullet points, certain citation styles, etc.)
I should be able to be finished by January or February 2025, depending on how familiar I am with the topics. If you need it done earlier than that, tumblr dm me up.
Additional tags are just things I felt typically need more research. You are definitely not limited to them.
