While I don’t mind sex being part of your fic, I'm not the person to go to for advice on writing it.

- I am offering to beta read up to 40K words. This can be for a single fic or multiple short ones, and so can work for a podbid if you like 🙂
This auction is for line and copyediting rather than helping you develop story arcs and hit plot beats: I am great at SPaG, internal continuity, "does this make sense" and "is this having the effect I want it to" checks, sentence flow, and by request can leave cheer-reading comments and overall feedback. Happy to work with either British or American spelling, and I am used to either suggestion mode in Google docs or track changes in Word.
I am very happy to beta for poly ships or pairings within poly ships I've listed, and the platonic version of any romantic grouping that I’ve listed, but not always vice versa. I am also open to betaing for ships not listed, or gen works with lots of romantic ships in the background, including crossovers and rarepairs (please double check with me on those first!).
Depending on the canon and character(s), I can also comment on canon-compliance and characterisation, but it'll be limited as, being frank, it's been a long while since I've watched or read most Marvel canons. I have listed some specific universes that I'm most familiar with, and I am willing to read/watch something for context depending on length of material provided it's easily accessible (please note I don't have a Marvel Unlimited account or Disney Plus at this time!). Not bothered by spoilers.
Of the Marvel TV shows, I have seen Agent Carter, Jessica Jones, What If...?, Hawkeye, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk; the first season of Luke Cage, Runaways, Defenders, Agents of SHIELD and Loki; and a few random episodes of IM:AA and EMH. I've read bits of Marvel comics over the years including Avengers, Ms Marvel, Captain Marvel, Daredevil, Young Avengers, Spidergwen, GotG, Ults and Spider-Man, but nothing super new and nothing super old.
My turnaround time would depend on the length of the fic I’ve been asked to beta and other commitments. If you’d like me to beta 40K words with a specific deadline between Nov 2024 - Feb 2025, I would appreciate you letting me know before you bid.
